Dream Lake

It’s not just a clever name, Dream Lake delivers show stopping scenery. This August, we spent time with extended family in our home away from home, Estes Park, Colorado. There were two extensive hikes I wanted to attempt. One was the five mile loop that included Nymph, Dream, and Emerald Lakes in Rocky Mountain National Park. The trail between Nymph and Dream Lakes was well-groomed and easy. After that, the trail became a lot less dreamy and a lot more Stairmaster meets cross fit box jumping. We took it slower than most. Total time clocked about 4 hours. It was worth every minute and I’ll do the loop again next year.
