A Tapestry

The colors in the Sherwin Williams 2021 color mix, Tapestry collection snapped me out of a dead scroll while searching for paint inspiration. "Lavish jewel tones...throw caution to the wind...dramatic form of self expression," all true descriptions as I consider the colors we swiped across the walls and cupboards during our ranch refresh.

SW 7551 Greek Villa has been a great base neutral for main floor and basement. Most of the walls, doors and trim are painted this color.

SW 6258 Tricorn Black was a great option for the now exposed basement ceiling.

SW 6241 Aleutian is a gorgeous tranquil and coastal blue used as an accent color around the fire place and above the chair rail in the dining room. It will likely make it on to more walls as we move through smaller refresh projects.

SW 0060 Alexandrite rolled smoothly across the upper and lower cabinets in the kitchen. To say we are smitten with our green cabinets just doesn't do our infatuation justice.

SW 9065 Perfect Periwinkle has been used sparingly in a a couple of bedrooms. Right now I'm just not feeling this color. I might try to cut the color before entirely abandoning it. Stay tuned.

SW 6482 Cape Verde is a deep teal that is currently used in both upstairs bathrooms. In the main, Cape Verde is d-r-a-m-a, used on the top half of every wall, above that 1950s tile half wall that all vintage bathrooms have. In the 1/2 bath off the primary suite it is used on the vanity.

SW 6577 Jaipur Pink had its hot pink minute of fame in the Happy Hollow Hills neighborhood as our front door announced the arrival of new owners. Around Christmastime, we repainted Greek Villa. However, Jaipur Pink is very likely to be paired with some vintage flamingo wall paper in the 1/2 bath off the primary suite...more to come.
