Witches Gulch

While in the Wisconsin Dells this summer, we took the boat tour, the only one in town.  I was slightly  annoyed that all these really cool areas we saw on the tour are only accessible for 15-20 minutes at a time, as a stop on the tour. I understand it’s a preservation play. But I would have spent hours in Wiches Gulch if I could have figured out how to ditch the boat tour or access the service road around back. It’s a cool damp canyon of layered rock, covered with moss, and it’s gorgeous.
